Entertainment Arabica University Circle 2004:

Every Wednesday Night is OPEN MIC NIGHT at the Arabica from about 8:30 to 11:30
Open Mic Night is geared towards solo acoustic performers and performances.
We hire acoustic solo and duo acts!

Friday September 24
Michael Allen – Guitar and Voice: Original Cleveland Singer Songwriter
Mike will play guitar and sing original material somewhat
reminiscent of Robyn Hitchcock (among others).
Micheal has been working on some 'demo' recordings with Rust Belt Studios in Detroit
I recently have been listening to an illegitimate copy - heheh - they sound
really gooood - to call them 'demo' recordings is an understatement
I would guess that a pretty penny was spent on putting them together
Perhaps we have Al Sutton to thank for the work done with Mike's songs!
C'mon out and listen to these fresh songs in their most organic format
As delivered by The Artist - acoustic and unadorned!

Saturday September 25
Zach - Guitar and Voice: Original Cleveland Singer Songwriter
Zach plays with suave and plenty of pizzaz – his live performances are a delight for the eyes
and ears as he dances, sings, and strums his guitar with vigorous abandon

Been awhile for me, but I have a good West Cost friend who was part of a marimba band
and they made lots of fun and money playing outdoors in the summertime,
people dance like crazy folks to that marimba music.

OCT. 30 Kate Voegele
Here is just a little blurb about Kate V. from Women in Rock:
"She's very dynamic, she's very radio-friendly, she fits the pop format extremely well
for her age, and she's able to write original songs that are very accessible,"
says Jeff Harlan, head of Women in Rock, a nonprofit organization that promotes women
in the arts and which most recently broke Sony artist Cheyenne.
"Those are many of the traits that one would be looking for in finding mainstream success.
With the proper producer-nurturing, she could become whoever she wants to be.
I really believe that, and I just don't go on about artists like this."
